Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is reviewing new technologies that could be used in the tank farms to detect and monitor vapors. These technologies include infrared cameras that can detect chemical vapors, portable area sensors that can detect specific vapors, in-stack and area vapor detection equipment, and portable meteorological stations to monitor local weather conditions. This video shows bench-scale testing WRPS conducted at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory earlier this year. The equipment has been moved to the field, where it will undergo further evaluation.
