CEMET Primary Meteorological Station

The primary meteorological station (MET), developed by Coastal Environmental Systems, is an array of instruments including an anemometer, rain gauge, two temperature and humidity sensors, a solar radiation sensor, and a barometer feeding into a data-logger which then can transmit the data wirelessly. The system is mounted on a 10 meter tower that is permanently affixed to a concrete base. In the pilot-scale demonstration, the unit was placed in the south end of AP farm for accurate weather readings. This data was transmitted to the data collection/management system in order to correlate instrument readings with real-time weather data.
