Protect Workers
Strict controls are implemented to ensure workers are protected from potential exposure to chemical vapors:
- Elimination and Substitution of Hazards – Physically remove or replace the hazard (implemented in the design and development stage)
- Engineering Controls – Control vapor pathways (isolate people from the hazard)
- Administrative Controls – Change the way people work using procedures, policies, and training
- Personal Protective Equipment – Protect the worker with protective gear
