Two Hanford workers declined precautionary medical evaluation after reporting odors this morning outside of SY Tank Farm in the 200-West Area.  The employees were performing excavation work to support the installation of a safety shower outside the tank farm in an area that does not require the use of supplied-air respirators. As a precaution, workers were instructed to leave the area, and access to the area has been restricted. Industrial hygiene technicians will collect samples in the area and perform monitoring with direct-read instruments. The samples will be analyzed for potential hazards and a decision will be made on next steps based on those results.
